Have we any luck at all, Mendy now out with a knee injury?
BBC Report:
Benjamin Mendy will visit a knee specialist in Barcelona because Manchester City fear his injury is more significant than first thought.
The French full-back was substituted after 29 minutes of Saturday's 5-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Speaking before City's Champions League encounter with Shakhtar Donetsk, manager Pep Guardiola suggested Mendy, 23, might train later on Monday.
But the £52m summer signing from Monaco did not appear with the squad.
The French international will travel to see Barcelona-based Ramon Cugat, a close friend of Guardiola, who treated City duo Vincent Kompany and Kevin de Bruyne last season.
Shame, he looks like a very good one. Danilo is a decent back up though.
We could have done without that. If it is ligaments, he could be out for a while.
Been saying season ending on Talk shite.
10 months if similar to Gundog
The outlook is looking bleak for Mendy, given Peps comments before the game. He hinted we'd need to buy cover in the January window. Very disappointed for Mendy. Hope it's not as bad as suspected.
another sickener, sometimes wonder if teams are targeting City players to take them out!! >:(
Ruptured ACL apparently. He'll be out for good while with that. Bollox.

Ive thought that with Silva, he's one you might want to take out, so small yet so influential
I can just imagine certain managers slyly instigating that, but Mendy is a tank, and anyway the rags have 3 out injured now so worse than us
Definitely would have been a fergie tactic. I remember the days they used to rotate their midfielders to but in dirty tackles until they got a yellow, then swap with the next one.
Luckily Silva seems to be made of rubber
Confirmed by Pep that he's out for at least 6 months.
