Manchester City's star striker Sergio Aguero might only miss a month of action after limping out of yesterday's Premier League match against Everton in tears.

The Argentinian went down with a knee problem during the early stages of last night's match at the Etihad and wasn't able to continue.

According to Ole.com this evening, the 26-year-old has damaged the ligaments in his knee but it is not torn as first feared.

If the reports are true, Aguero might only be out for a month and could return not long into the New Year.

City are expected to make an official announcement tomorrow.

Aguero is the Premier League's top scorer with 14 goals in 15 games.

The latest from Chile

Good news but it always seems to take him a couple of months of fitness to get to the level he was at.

medial collateral isn't too bad really, the cruciate's the bugger to fix.

Always the left leg with Sergio isn't it? Or am I wrong? One injury leads to the next in most cases. If it IS always the left leg then it will carry on if he isn't given proper repair time. Repair and rehab. (Like that's gonna happen)
