Aguero and KdB on bench C’mon City
CITY XI | Ederson, Walker, Gündogan, Laporte, Delph, Sané, Silva, Fernandinho (C), Mahrez, Otamendi, Jesus
SUBS | Muric, Stones, Sterling, Agüero, De Bruyne, Zinchenko, Foden
The drought is over Jesus has scored, and a cracker at that. C'mon City.
Not a good start but we got going a bit in the end. These lunch time kick offs are always a bit weird. Nice finish from Jesus but the offside was frustrating.
Everton as a team are working very hard and giving us a good workout using our own pressing tactics. Coming off our first league defeat of the season we could still be vulnerable but lets hope for an early second half goal to steady our ship.
Cracker second for Jesus, he is on fire now. :D
2 1 now, wake up time.
3 1 Chill quick hit back from sub Sterling
Three great goals, and a good win. Nice to see G Jesus locking his radar onto the goal after a frustrating dry spell.
Not so happy with our last 15 minutes or so. Soon after Sane went off, the energy began to visibly dissipate from our game and we start to hesitate and over-use the ball at the back. Everton are a decent side and no one should be winding down against them - even with a two goal lead. But for some poor finishing they could easily have pulled another one back.
But gosh - Sane was good today!
Great day, a win, Sane playing brillant, Jesus back to goalscoring form, Kevin DeBruyne minutes on the pitch and Aguero fit to spend time on the bench. Pressure back on Liverpool.
Sane was good today, also Wednesday. Jesus has arrived in the promised land. Good to see KDB stretching his legs, bound to be rusty.
Jesus and Kun as a partnership must be a realistic choice for the next league game?
Although Pep does hate that idea as it goes against his one striker system.
Any win over Everton is a great win given our record against them. We went on and off the boil today but not surprising given the injuries and the atrocious weather. When they scored we went up a gear or two and put them in their place again quickly. We did drift again at the end but we always looked like we could do it again if necessary.
Jesus' face at scoring luvverly
