XI | Ederson, Walker, Dias (C), Ake, Cancelo, Rodrigo, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Mahrez, Haaland, Grealish
SUBS | Ortega Moreno, Phillips, Stones, Gundogan, Alvarez, Foden, Mbete, Palmer, Wilson-Esbrand
Strong team, no fucking about.
Mon City
Let's get the season going
Looking short of match fitness so far. Liverpool sharper.
Second best all round and we just have not got going.
Grealish off Foden on
Not the greatest half but we could have been level by now. They were lucky with the goal coming off Ake. We looked to be on top towards the end of the half. Hopefully, the subs will make us even stronger. Be nice to see Phil, Gundo and Alvarez.
Ye were doing what we did far too much of last season by spending too much time on the ball. We need to get forward quicker and get back quicker.
Expecting better Second half as we were getting a hold last 15 minutes.
Plenty of work needed next week to bring the team up to speed.
Disappointing result. Lots of work to do. Good that Alvarez scored.
I do hate losing to that lot.
Great for Alvarez and Haaland showed immense promise.
Psychologically this result is a massive blow
Klopp will be ecstatic
A blow indeed, but it is how the team react to the blows that defines them. Our lads always react well. Better for the blow to come this week than next. This means nothing in May.
Great for Alvarez to get a goal. Fuck knows what took VAR so long. It was clearly a goal after the first replay.
What a miss from Haaland. I doubt that he'll do a worse miss than that in his many games to come for City.
The ref had Scouse handball blinditis again despite giving numerous against City.
Good run out and nobody really wanting to get stuck in.
Business starts next weekend.
Milner is an exceptional cnut
Klopp is a first degree cnut
Rant over
Ring rusty performance. The filthy Koppites celebrated like they had won the league.
Did the scousers boo/whistle during the national anthem?
I guffawed when Darwin fell to his knees after the final whistle. He might just have been glad to play well, fair play, still, it seemed as though he was reacting to winning the charity shield.

Yes, they did.
