Title: 40000 season ticket holders
Post by: gavin on July 24, 2015, 21:47:19
Blimey. I'm gonna sound like a right old git here but I remember standing in crowds of 20,000 for league games at Maine Road in the eighties. Crowds were much smaller then for all clubs. Very occasionally we got 40000 plus for derbies, when we were in the top division, and for promotion games.

Often less than 20,000 too, I can remember 15/16k for a few games in the 2nd tier around then, just under 20k for the 10-1 against Huddersfield.
