Lekos

Someone went fishing and caught a whopper

Swiss

So we need a CM: Other than goats monotonous suggestion of Hamsik who is not a midfield general... who's out there in the talasmanic form? That midfield general we're lacking.

Thiago Alacantre?
Blaise Matuidi?
Javi Martinez?
Ilkay Gundogen?
Hernanes?
Lars Bender?

stop using football manager

weve the perfect lad under our nose

big and strong
used to the shitness of england
a winner

paddy viera

Stephen Paul

Cheeky...

Though I don't think any of them are like Paddy Viera really. I'm struggling to think of any that are talasmanic in the form of Viera, Gerrard, Lampard etc.
If you look at our central mid you're not exactly 'scared' of anyone bar Silva and he's a completely different type of scary.
When the chips are down, we need a leader in the middle.

Rowley Birkin QC

Christ! Some of you go off about Sterling, but he'll be a model pro compared to fecking Wilshere. No thanks.

Meanwhile, in other news - Rafael looks to be leaving the swamp for Lyon. I'll be sorry to see him go. Rafael was a gift that just kept giving

do we really, do barca and real have some big lump in the middle?
i cant think of anyone bar paddy v, although khedira on a free would have been decent

Swiss

I would have said masher-Rano but he plays cb these days.

So your argument there is a hard working technical midfield?

And what we're missing is work ethic in the centre?

I can see Delph being a busy player...

goat

in an ideal world it would be like dortmund with the strikers working their bollocks off to win the ball back before it even gets to midfield

Chippy_Tea

How many midfield players do we need?

Man City transfer news: Wolfsburg boss believes target De Bruyne will snub Blues - http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-city-transfer-news-wolfsburg-9776034

Swiss

We don't need some of the ones we have, which is the problem

well toure is finished
fernando never started
nasri is a shithouse that goes missing
navas is one of the worst crossers of a ball ive seen for a winger and thats if he does cross and not do that thing of beating the fullback and then laying it back to zabba for some reason

we need a whole midfield

Neil Mcnab

Jankles Wilshere is injured, again. Surely we cannot be stupid enough to sign the sick note.

I take it De Bruyne is coming in.

In my opinion Toure needs to go. Who to replace him, or at least add to somewhere in the centre? Witsel/Kroos/Hamsik/Isco? I am guessing this is wishful thinking, he will be "honouring" his contract as no one else can pay his "generous" wages. No cakes necessary.

Forwards We have Bony and Aguero, after Jovetic and Dzeko go. One more in? Morata at Juve would do.

I cannot argue with that.

We have been linked to De Bruyne and others the problem we have is we cannot shift the ones we already have. (from OS)

Midfielders

Bruno Zuculini
Fabian Delph
Fernandinho Luiz Roza
Fernando Francisco Reges
Raheem Sterling
Marcos Lopes
Samir Nasri
Jesus Navas
David Silva
Yaya Toure

goat

with any luck that lopes can be the spare creative lad for when silva needs a rest

been reading a bit out roy keane and paddy v raving about some irish lad we sent to holland, could save a few quid if he turns out well

Swiss

Missing that Manu Garcia lad who impressed on tour.

To be honest, the three that didn't impress last season were the Nando's & Toure.

Delph looks to have the work rate which will be welcome.

I think we'll play 5 in the "middle".

Two Box to boxers: Silva in the hole and De Bruyne/ Sterling as wide forwards, merging from 451 to 433

I think this is how we will line up against WBA

------------------Bony--------------------
Sterling--------------------------------Navas
----------------Silva--------------------------
-----------Toure----Fernandinho-------------
Kolarov--------------------------------Sagna
-----------Mangala----Kompany-------------
-------------------Hart-----------------------

With a view to this in the future

------------------Aguero--------------------
Sterling-----------------------------De Bruyne
----------------Silva--------------------------
-----------Delph----Pogba-------------
Kolarov--------------------------------Zabba
-----------A.n.other----Kompany-------------
-------------------Hart-----------------------

goat

how did that work for you on footy manager tone?

i still think the old milan 4-3 -2 -1 would suit us a lot better

ok we dont have rui costa and rivaldo but silva and aguero behind bony would be pretty good
