I quite fancy living in New Zealand. On the other list, I wouldn't mind going to Russia but not till Putin has been fooked off obviously.

Been to two on the first list stepped over the border into one on the second list. I walked over a chalk line border marked in the desert between Saudi and Yemen.

The best KFC I ever had was in Abha in the Asir mountains, don't knock it. Also, the Harry Ramsdens in Jeddah is top notch.

Libya was another experience entirely. Can't believe it's not on either list.

Ate lunch a few times at the El Beida Palace Hotel along with Russian air force personnel, mostly top brass as they had their mrs's with them. Anyway, the waiter would come up and offer tomato soup, chicken soup or Libyan soup,. They only ever had the latter and the ruskies just stared at us and never said a word even to each other.. Anyway, it was nice.

I don't fancy going to Saudi much either.
Saudi is decent Gavin, Ive been there for the last two years and a good environment.

The problem is the UK media . All you here is human rights and slave labour which is utter bollocks

Google Neom
You will see the tourist attraction they are building , which is the size of Belgium . They are going to rival Dubai with this project

The only unsafe thing in Saudi is the driving. When I was first there in the 80s, in Riyadh they had a road safety campaign which consisted of displaying smashed up cars at roundabouts and junctions. This however caused more accidents as people were looking at them instead of the road. They were quickly removed.

Eating out is fantastic though if you can get there.

Is it an old list, would Ireland still be one of the most peaceful?

The driving is still horrendous. When I travel to work, I go during prayer times to avoid the congestion.
