XI | Ederson, Walker, Stones, Dias, Akanji, Rodrigo, Gundogan (C), De Bruyne, Bernardo, Grealish, Haaland

SUBS | Ortega Moreno, Carson, Phillips, Laporte, Alvarez, Gomez, Mahrez, Foden, Palmer, Lewis

Probably the strongest available side.

Stephen Paul

good team, lets have it

referee taking the piss

The Blue Blooded Maniac

There's a fekin massive gap in the middle of the pitch most of the time that needs Kev to drop back in.

The Blue Blooded Maniac

Goal was coming. We're far too slow going forward and Kevs nowhere to be seen.

Stephen Paul

we need to up it big time

gavin

Decent enough performance in the first half but not enough cutting edge. They had their chance and took it. Rudiger being himself by elbowing Gundo. Carvajal taking over the Casemiro role of fouling and fouling and fouling but not getting punished. It was interesting the ref actually gave a foul for a barge on the edge of our box but in the Real Madrid box it isn't a foul on Erling.

The Blue Blooded Maniac

Not sure why Gunda played the full game, he looked knackered.

gavin

Decent performance and decent result. KDB was very wasteful with his crossing and passing at times but he absolutely slammed that in. We can play much better and will at the Etihad but even so the boys did the business.

Neil Mcnab

OK result.  If we cant beat them at home, we dont deserve to go through.

KunDB

Two great goals. Gundogan was exhausted, Bernardo was exhausted and I do not understand why Pep choose not to put on fresh legs towards the end but ultimately he was right as we got the result.

Great performance and resilience.

Really looking forward tot he return leg.

Stephen Paul

City are now unbeaten in 21 games in all competitions, a run which includes 17 wins. Seven more victories and they get the Treble.

bbk

A fantastic performance against fantastic opponents. Haaland was a bit isolated but this will happen against elite opponents. Think a draw was a fair result. Home game is no advantage at all but we will go through.

Stephen Paul

Everton away is now our big one
If we win at Goodison the title will be all but in the bag

What a whining old bastard Ancelotti is. There's no direct evidence that I have seen that the ball was out and it was well before the goal and they had the ball and lost it in between! Yet he has been like a big old cry baby about it.

silvablue

He is selling a debt from the officials which he hopes they will be under pressure to repay (subconsciously) to RM at the Eitihad. Cunning Old cheating fox.
