Interesting selection. Kind of forced through injury but he could have started De Bruyne. Sat in legends lounge watching on telly. Smart bar. Come on City.

Surprised KDB didn't start in the Silva position

Absolutely disgraceful. Sergio kicked out of the game. No intention of getting the ball. Yellow card. Where do they get these referees?

Typical Pardew tactics, if they are likely to break free in attack then SCYTHE them down.

Not a great first half for many reasons but hopefully class will tell second half. Andy Morrison says it was an assault on Sergio and a red card and he should know.

Pardew never changes. Navas having a hard time on the right. I think we'll see a goal from De Bruyne before this is over in spite of a nervous few minutes at the start

A few problems for us to over-come here in the second half. Palace are strong and very quick - so we're going to find out just how good our defensive improvement has been so far this season. The absence of Silva and Sterling adds another challenge.

Place are a typical Pardew side - full of bluster and very physical, hard working but short on real skill.

The challenge on Aguero was quite cynical and very nasty. Aguero had easily turned him, and he not only elected to deliberate scythe Aguero down - he went high for Aguero's knee. A absolutely disgraceful foul and a straight red any day of the week.

The new boy looks solid and composed.

We were a little more settled towards the end of the half, but I'm not sure how we're going to win this one at the moment.

At least we're having a few shots. Pleased about that. One of these might stick.

We are lacking composure in and around the box.

Pity Pardew could not get 12 in their box defending.

Bony must look at Kelachi and question why he is misfiring.

Brill result pulled out of the fire. Momentum maintained.

Excellent win in difficult circumstances. We dodged a bullet there - thanks to Nasri's perseverance (he was very good today bye-the-way) and Iheanacho's anticipation and quick reactions. The lad took his chance really well.

Palace can fuck off. It's a sorry state of affairs in this day and age if one of your principal tactics is to kick bits out of the opposition and target their star players for 'special treatment'. Still... I suppose that's what you get when you appoint a shit like Pardew as your manager.

Disgusted with the officials as well. They gave us nothing.

A cracking win. Really happy with that.

Nasri's working harder, as he said he would early August. How long that will last will be interesting. De Bruyne made a few mistakes and looked nervous but he did okay

A win is a win. The opposition is unlikely to roll over, what can we expect? Of course the red card should have been out for the hack that put Kun out of the game.
Hope Kun, Silva and Sterling are in contention for the Juve game.

Was travelling to my hols for this match and only just seen nacho's goal. Good movement and anticipation from the lad but poor keeping really.

Nice that Ian could offer something different upfront being a poacher
