Post by: ebm1991 on July 23, 2015, 22:35:14
Never seen him play to be honest, is he good enough to get into the 1st 11?

If he's competing against the nando's then he's got every chance.

"fooked already"

He lasted 19 minutes. I can hear the laughter in Birmingham from here.

Not sure. He'd flattened Modric a few moments before in a heavy challenge but didn't look to be in any discomfort straight after. But sitting on his arse  20 seconds or so later, feeling the back of his leg.

So first 17 minutes or whatever; Press are a little bit in praise of him?

Is this accurate? Was he foiling RM's attacks?

He was doing OK, putting himself about a bit. In those opening minutes we probably had more of the ball and played a fair bit inside Real's half. Delph had a hand in that, and neither side was finding much space in a congested mid field.

After Delph went off things did seem to open up, and Real scored with pretty much their first decent effort. Hard to judge though, he was on for so little time, and like most friendlies the pace of the game was often not that challenging.

Another signing that gets crocked as soon as he plays! Typical City or are our fitness team not very good?

Midfield went to pieces after Delph was subbed, mind you that probably had as much to do with the change of formation - we looked to have started with a 4-3-3 formation but then switched it to 4-4-1-1 with Silva just behind Sterling. As per usual a 2-man central midfield of Fernando and Yaya was a bit porous.

Aye, we've still got 3 or 4 positions to fill.

Looks like De Bruyne is in England for a freindly with Le Arse...

Get him signed up, then 1 more midfielder and maybe 2 defenders and all done. Simples!

Looks as though that Arsenal game is on at 16.20GMT sunday if anyone wants to watch it with the view of seeing De Bruyne
