That’s the bonus early start to the winter break.
watching the Sheffield game and the sun is shining
Ye it's glorious now. Still windy but no where near how bad it was.
We got about an hour down the road - driving in bright sunshine (although it was a bit windy) - when the notification came through. Turned round and drove home, still sunny, wind had pretty much died down. So we only got to within about 150 miles of The Etihad, but it was pure surprise when we heard it was off. We said, "Fantasy League will be in meltdown!" and sure enough there are calls for City to be investigated, fined, docked points... some people really take things too seriously.
Worst thing is, I assume it'll be rearranged for a midweek, not sure how we can use the tickets then.
Ended up a bit of a fuck up as the weather was fine around the gametime. But I suppose they have to make a decision early enough for people travelling and it was very bad at the time they called it off. Forecast must have been bad.
On again, Weds 19th, 7:30 k.o.
19:30 seems to be back as a kick off time. Better than 20:00 certainly.
