Lots to think about there. Keeper, No Vinny, Two Ferns, only one striker in the squad.

I was only saying to someone five minutes before I read it that I didn't want to see us play both Ferns again.

Lots of potential problems but still a very exciting team. Should be a very interesting game.

Bench: Hart, Kompany, Zabaleta, Nasri, Navas, Roberts, Barker

It would have been a decent half but for a clear offside equaliser. And no our goal wasn't offside you clueless cunts on BT.

City doing well here but a bit squeaky bum at the back (again)

missing Dave for creativity but everybody seems to be up for it< Yaya playing behind kun and needs to get on the ball more, Kolorov and Sterling linking up to good effect on the left and de bruyne looks good

Its a shame we dont have a creater when Dave is out

Kolarov and Sterling linking up well?! Hahaha. You must be watching a replay of a different game!

How the feck did the linesman miss that offside?! I mean - it's wasn't even CLOSE! At least 2 yards offside - linesman in line - he doesn't see it! Unbelievable. Spurs are a lucky club...

Otherwise we're going pretty well, what with our injury difficulties and all. Like Nimmers, I'd like to see Yaya get involved more further forward. He should be scaring the shit out of this Spurs defence.

Oh shit

defence gone missing, bad keeping, spuds on top now

Navas coming on for yaya  ::)

why cant pelle sort this defence?

good job city! In two matches you've pissed away the sole number 1 spot that was given to you for free. Without hart, kompany and silva city is a bottom half team, and I actually believe that to be a fact if you look at the statistic.

Kane scoring his first goal of the season vs city? NOBODY in the whole world is surprised. The never ending rollercoaster continues while the neighbors continues to play mediocre but keep picking up points. Nothing new to see here.

We cannot win them all but once again we collapse in a shambles conceding defeat in a game we should have won at a canter. Manager must shoulder the blame when a team underperform and we are massively under performing and will be behind an average Utd tonight.

Raging young fanboys you lot, yes city have had a fair share of luck against spurs the past couple of years, often winning by a much larger margin than deserved. It's not often the champions gets beat 4-1 in a season is it?. But I guess you guys are still happy with the season being second and the usual shite start to the cl.

I love attacking football but this is Kevin Keegan the second all attack no defence. Not good.  Not a balanced set up IMHO.

WHEN WE ARE WINNING WE LOOK GOOD, very good. When we are on the back foot we look awful and vulnerable.

Trying to look at it objectively - we have more than our fair share of injury problems at the moment. Even so, we were pretty good in the first half and scored a good counter-attacking goal.

Then Spurs got lucky...  very lucky. We should still have been OK, but after the break Caballero decides to go for a ball he can't possible reach and then Spurs get a third with another dose of good fortune (although not quite as bad as their first - at least the off-side was only marginal this time).

From then on we were chasing the game and gaps inevitably began to open up at the back. It would have been hard even for a well drilled defence not to have offered up Spurs a few decent chances.

Yaya going off injured just about finished us off - and if that didn't do it, taking Fernandinho off certainly did. We looked out of ideas and well beaten from then on.

Aguero was well marshalled by the Spuds defence, and one thing I took away from this is that when Silva isn't playing we should probably go with two strikers whenever we can. Otherwise we don't pose enough threat or opportunity around opponents' boxes.

Come on lads, nobody is going to be happy at getting well beat at Spuds but let's keep it civil. No need for the insults and particularly the worst of all - accusing someone of being a rag.

For what it is worth, he is probably right there. We can't play like that too often and win the league. But didn't the rags get absolutely tonked once at Newcastle and still win it?

It is up to Pellers to sort it out. I thought he should have gone in the summer. Then I turned and thought I was probably wrong after the first few games. Now it looks like I might have been right in the first place. Anyway, he's not going to go for a bit at least so let's see if he can manage to sort it.

Pretty fucking annoying all that so frayed tempers pretty understandable but try to ignore it if you're just going to respond with insults.

Only one striker fit to be fair. Yes, we're being unfortunate with injuries but that team was strong enough to do well at Spuds. The most disappointing thing was that when we went 2-1 down I knew it was just a matter of how many they put past us. We were completely and totally lost at that stage. We had enough good players but not enough, desire, determination and belief to come back. You could just see it.

The season will change again I'm sure. Looks like it will be another rollercoaster. But it needs to turn up soon.

An over reaction to today would be a mistake but it is not just today, it is Juventus, West Ham and all our failed european performances when the chips were down last year as well.

Pelle has failed to convince he can get the best out of this team of very talented players, consistently.

Anyway, missed the match as I'm doing some work on my parents bathroom, though had the radio on.
2 of the goals were mentioned as possible offsides, but they said under the new rules, the first goal is not considered off side.

Still I have a question to ponder... Are we not a counter attacking team now?

A couple of their goals, including the first, were definitely offside. I feel ours was dead level but on BT they were going on and on and on about it being offside with completely undisguised bias from Hoddle.

However, at the end of the game I didn't feel that we deserved anything after our second half performance. I don't think you can complain too much if you don't help yourself. Second half we were well beaten.

Spineless 2nd half performance from City, it's no good palming it off on dodgy line calls, we were complete dogshit in the 2nd half.

What concerns me is that all the players with a bit of backbone and resilience are the ones signed before Pellegrini and Txiki arrived. Hart, Zaba, Kompany and Silva and when they're missing and throw in an injured Yaya and an out of sorts Aguero there's nobody from the newer signings who seem able to show some leadership and instil a bit of fight in the side. Very worrying.

That is the central problem in a nutshell, but I would add that the blame for that lies firmly at Pelles door. They are good players badly trained and woefully set up for the game.
