If you just look at the trophies we won with Eddie then surely it is impossible to deny him. I'd also have Joe Hart in there too just from the keepers. But there has to be loads of other players from this successful era.

I think that maybe generally you are correct that in modern times, the term legend is used too often in football. But when the modern era is your most successful, then it is fair that you have a lot recently.

He has been in goal for the most successful period in the club's history. He was immense in the last few minutes of the Champions League Final win. His clear head and phenomenal passing have revolutionised goalkeeping. There were sweeper keeper in the past but he has been on a different level. He is a legend, not just of City but of goalkeeping generally.

Wouldn't say Ederson is a legend, excellent keeper, but has taken his eye of the ball lately

Rumours hes up the road

I agree that there are big question marks over Eddie these days. He is far less reliable with his passing than he used to be and when the opposition are through on goal, I expect them to score. A club legend but he must get back to near his best.

Oh also

Bounou, Koulibaly and Ruben Neves played out of their skins.

I do have e to say, there were some decent performances out there.

There was some really good link up play and runs from deep in thr 1st half, and again when Cherki came on, some excellent passing.

Just that soft underbelly killing us.

Gundog is only good for about 30 mins, still class but can't compete in that heat.
The players were bronzed and shinier than a mr universe competition

Dunno after that showing...

If there's a chance for Donnarummer, then that's a must be! (I don't think there's a real chance).

Quote from: Stephen Paul on July 01, 2025, 15:31:29Must have been at the toilet when that happened FFS

TBF, he was misplacing passes all over the place.

Quote from: Stephen Paul on July 01, 2025, 05:09:22listened on the radio , Dias fucking around as usual ?

It's more that it's so easy to pop a ball over the top...

Also, we're just not marking players or following the deeper runs.

Ederson had another poor game. Some of his passing was against direct to AH.
Also, woukd be nice if he could make a save. At one point they had 3 shots on target, and scored all 3.
