Title: at WBA
Post by: gavin on October 29, 2016, 14:04:24
Bravo, Fernando, Stones, Otamendi, Kolarov, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Silva, Sterling, Nolito, Aguero

SUBS | Caballero, Kompany, De Bruyne, Navas, Clichy, Iheanacho, A. Garcia

An odd one again. Surprised not to see Maffeo at least on the bench given no other right back. Also a bit of a shock to see Fernando start.. Nice to see Kev on the bench.

Pep hoping to save KDB for Barcelona game I imagine. Why no Maffeo ah well Pep has a lot more knowledge than me.

C'mon City.

By my reckoning we need at least a 3-0 win to go back above Arsenal...

It's  a strange line up.

Is it 3 at the back? Is it 442? Is it shit?

We'll soon find out.

Really pleased we didn't let them back into it at all. Must not let them score.

Not as good second half but that was a lovely ball from Sergio and nice finish from Gundog.

What does 'a clean sheet' mean it's been that long I've forgotten.

Good win and much needed. We're still work in progress but if we can stay in contention and Pep can keep the squad happy until Christmas then we'll have a real chance this season.

Ok Lee, Stones was excellent yesterday, now he needs to just add consistency.

I've decided I quite like the claret and black strip.

Quicker decision making, better passing, better movement off the ball and a much better result.

One thing I will say is that while it was 0-2 I thought WBA always looked as if they had a goal in them , and who knows how the game might have panned out if it had gone to 1-2 and the Baggies had gained some momentum. I was mildly relieved when the third went in!
