At some stage its going to happen because of the money

I doubt very much that it will come back in the same format but there needs to be change. UEFA is not a fit governing body and its proposals are awful too. The Champions League as is is a waste of time for most before Christmas. It is a question of getting the proposals for change right, both competitively and financially. It can't be just a closed shop, there needs to be competition and more competition than there is at the moment in the group stages. My personal choice would be just a straight knockout competition as it used to be. But that will never catch on with those big clubs who want guaranteed games and revenue.
