Lovely bench KdB Foden
C’mon City
Good line up
Very similar team again. Good to see the lads back on the bench.
Sky pundits having a go at City about the bench
They never give up
Early doors 78% possession
Could do with a goal here
Half time. We look bright enough, but perhaps too predictable with so much going down the left? I'd like to see Jesus brought into it more. Cancelo looks a touch off his game.
Not a bad half, Leicester being quite fortunate with their blocks always falling safe. Hopefully their luck will run out.
Get in Bernardo
Good to get the points against a hard working Leicester side. Bernardo took his chance well - and clearly enjoyed the moment!
I do wish we could show a little more killer instinct and speed on those occaisions we get an opportunity to break. The contrast in pace between the two sides's forwards was pretty stark. Ironic that one of our more aggressive runs came from our defensive midfielder, who only just missed the far post! We should have got a second really and finished them off.
A pure defensive ‘hit them on the break’ Leicester until we scored, then they attacked a bit.
We still look lacking up front. Midfielders score a lot but none of our players are natural goal scorers or poachers and that will hurt us again and again in games opponents sit back and pack defence.
That said, a good well deserved win today.
A well deserved victory. We put them under a lot of pressure and I was confident that the ball would fall for us eventually and it did to Bernardo. Unfortunately, we missed our chances the kill the game and it was nerve wracking at the end.
Bernardo was excellent throughout, going forward and defending at times too. He looks back to his form of a couple of years ago. So pleased that he didn't leave. He was combining beautifully with Jack at times.
Ederson had a good game too. It is always tricky to keep Leicester entirely quiet so we were bound to struggle on the break at times but for the most part we controlled them well.
With a couple of cup games coming up, we can get some of the subs up to speed a bit. It will be good to see Kev, Phil, Raheem and Riyad start.
4 games ,9 different goal scorers
Do we need Kane ?
A big win for City at Leicester
Not many teams will get 3 points at the King Power
We'd clearly have been stronger with Kane but it does go to show that it wasn't worth buying any old striker.
