Being reported Kompany injured whilst on international duty with Belgium. Didn't train on Thursday, calf injury!

The start of his last injury run was when he defied club orders not to play while carrying an injury. Lets hope this is minor.

I don't have a problem with him playing international games. I am concerned if it's yet another calf injury. He's had some long term periods where he's missed games due to injuries in that area.

Probably wasn't the smartest of thinking though not to get some cover in that area during the window.

Twas an accident waiting to happen and very careless not to get in trusted cover given the history of this and the effect it has had on us over the least few seasons.

Report I read said Kompany got it early in game but played on?

Time to trust and develop our elite squad players as cover.  Let them make mistakes and learn from them.

Its insane really though, all the dosh spent during Peps reign (plus another 55 if we'd got Sanchez) and yet still no adequate cover for injury prone Vinny. What was/is he thinking ?
