Was it the Super League? NO
Was it the Glazers? - NO
Was it to fight the cause of Bury, Bolton and Macclesfield (no laughing) - NO
Was it the fact that ickle City have just won the League Cup, are going to win the Premier league for the 3rd time in 4 years and possibly reach the Champs League Cup final?
Resounding YES.
They are the bitterest fans in world football, love to dish it out, but can’t take it, don’t let them try and kid you it was for any other reason.
