We need him whether he is good, great or dreadful as we desperately need pace and he has it in abundance. In a few years time his price will hopefully look pretty cheap.

expensive English bench warmer, we'll be selling him in 2 years when he goes on strike through not being picked every week

Rowley Birkin QC

Potentially a very good signing. I think he'll go OK in our team.

Swiss

There's no point being negative about him, he's not played for us yet!
I an see another Edghill coming on...

goat

one thing if he does flop..if.. then he is young enough to be able to sell on

depends on pelle, cant see sterling doing a lot in his 4 4 fucking 2

bry the guy

We have spent 30m over the odds for Sterling i would rather have spent that on Pogba so why didnt we or wont we?

goat

to be fair pogba can do better than city

Im only negative because I dont think he's worth 49 million

Same as I didnt think SWP was worth 30 million when chavs bought him

There was only us in for him, and he sort of went on strike so I think we could have got him cheaper if we had to have him (which seemingly we did)

Once again, were not good at buying (or selling)

would never Boo a City player though

That's why i think we'll change to a 4-3-3/ 4-5-1 formation

Harsh but not without merit. A different kind of midfielder than barce normally operate. I'd still like to see him at city with De Bruyne as well.

Sterling 20, Pogba 22 & D Bruyne 24

That's a lot of years in them and could form a great axis

Stephen Paul

We need to get right behind this young fella from the start because everyone else is out to fook him over .
i hope he proves those scouse fookers all wrong , deluded wankers

Ludo

If we are to play 4-4-2 I think Sterling's ideal.

He's fast, good with the ball at his feet and can score goals. He'll be playing in a better team so I'd expect his stats to do nothing but improve.

Stephen Paul

i think he will improve for both City and England

Absolutely gutted , never thought city would sign him he's not worth half that and he has "serious baggage"
he will disrupt the dressing room, and piss off other players when they learn what he is on
Today ,I'm glad I no longer pay to watch city

Actually I reckon once in the dressing room alongside the likes of Kompany, Toure and Hart he'll soon be cut down to size!!

Swiss

Marsh reckons Sterling wont get his preferred position as a number 10...

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but he's more of a wide forward no?

He was pissed at LFC for them playing him out of position but I thought this was at RWB and as the central striker?

Interestingly this gave me the thought of this attack formation:

---------------------Serge----------------------
De Bruyne--------Sterling----------Navas
------------Pogba-----------Silva------------
Kolarov------------------------------Zabba
----------Demi---------Kompany-------------
----------------Hart------------------------------

Movement and pace are there, but you'd have to wonder what would happen when we don't have the ball...
Pellegrini has said previously that he doesn't like rigid formations so I can imagine the DB, RS, JN players would swap around.
However, I imagine that Navas would be swapped out for that extra bit of protection in midfield in F'Dinho or Yaya.

Of course, this rely's on us actually signing Pogba and De Bruyne.

bry the guy

I would rather have Bony central than Sterling.

Swiss

But then that changes things to a 4-4-2 and more likely Bony would be further up than Aguero who'd be given a free role?

Sterling would push out wide and Navas would drop to the bench.

you think so?

Ludo

There possibly two teams that might be in a better position to sign Pogba, Madrid and Barcelona

Stephen Paul

if he signs for Barca he cannot play for a bit
