I seriously doubt he had even heard of Man City 15 years ago; probably thinks he has signed for Utd (did he mention SAF).

Probably just meant he's dreamed of playing for someone like City. That is Champions and in the Chumps league. Though in the interviews I saw he said nothing like that quote.
