CITY XI: Ederson, Walker (C), Dias, Ake, Gvardiol, Rodrigo, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Alvarez, Foden, Haaland

Subs: Ortega Moreno, Stones, Kovacic, Grealish, Doku, Akanji, Nunes, Bobb, Lewis

Looking at that XI, I see a win coming.

Superb rubbish from us first half, even given the equaliser. It was all rushed dominance and no pass, play and exploit, so unlike City.

One clean sheet in 11 games (includes this game) is dreadful and shows a major flaw in our defence. It needs sorted urgently, like right now.

We will win but the hard way. C'mon City.

That first half battered my head.

What a relief that Phil scored. Maupay took his big chance. Haaland muffed his. He has started as he finished. We could be better off without him.

I predict Bernard off at 60mins to be replaced by Doku.

KunDB

KdB again, this time feeding Foden while 2 defenders marked Erling. Beautiful header by Phil.

About 12 minutes out there.

Really pleased for Phil, a great hat trick and he even found time to make a telling intervention in his own box.

My tense nervous headache is now rescinding.

Second half was the real City. Calm and patient passing and probing with chances created and taken.

A great night putting the pressure well and truly on Liverpool and Arsenal.

Gav got the prediction right and ruined Stevie's bet with Paddy again.
