That would be some development at the back of the North Stand. It looks taller than the stand itself.

If the expansion plans include improvements for the 53 service then I'm all for it.

Train from Reddish North to Ashburys. No doubt you'll have to stand on the way back but its only a few minutes.

Planning application has been submitted

I'm also hoping that they will remove the extra advertising boards and put seats back on the rows 1 and 2 that were installed a few years back. They're probably a rubbish view but if people will sit there for cheap then it is better than having two rows of ad boards.

I just hope a massive car park is included in the proposals. Either that or far better transport systems for Manchester in general. After all, Stockport, which as everyone knows, has the highest percentage of City fans anywhere in the world but has no tram service.

If they do a Tram from Stockport it will just go into the City Centre but slower than the train does. I've never been impressed with the Tram. Honestly, I think if I have to go from Piccadilly to Victoria, it is just as quick to walk it.

The transport and parking is the real big issue imho, not included in the consultation plans so a bit of a worry.

Let us hope more trams secured and more car parking.

I don't think that the transport is great around any big stadium on a match day. Earlier this season we were having big problems but we had a change of strategy and I'm not too dissatisfied at the moment.

The people in charge of the tram should consider re-opening this line.

Leeds Utd has a very efficient system. A fleet of double decker buses around the corner from the stadium which shuttle you back to the city centre for a couple of quid. Surely something similar could be implemented at the Etihad

Planning application approved and work expected to start in November. The expanded North Stand should open in 2025/26 season with the rest opening later.

Cannot wait, so exciting to see City as a (excellently run) club grow in this way and improve the supporter and visitor experience.

Pat on the back to all at the club.
