Title: Expansive versus boring
Post by: zacc on May 03, 2015, 18:39:17
Watched the first half of Cheatski v Palace then went off to sort out cooking the roast, mulling over whether my loyalty to City would waver if they played liked Cheatski?
Know it's probably that I'm as my ol' dad would say long in the tooth so younger supporters probably used to how teams win at all costs now.
Not that I'm saying cheating  gamesmanship hasn't always gone on.
Yes City need to be more ruthless but then the likes of Zabba, Kolarov & Milner are that but that can't be the makeup of the whole team.
Silky skills are needed  as shown by the likes of Aguero & Silva along with your dead ball specialists.
Cheatski have such players who can play delightful  football one such being Hazard, sadly today I believe I've seen his amazing abilities, to have been coached out of him, in the interest of success/win at all costs

I wouldn't want to win it the way they do with him as manager. I'm not a great fan of Pellers but I much prefer him to Mourinho. I;d like to see us improve defensively but I believe we can do that and retain a decent football philosophy.
