City XI | Ederson, Danilo, Delph, Otamendi, Stones, Fernandinho (c), Gundogan, De Bruyne, Sterling, Sane, Aguero

Cmon City.

KunDB

Subs | Bravo, Walker, Silva, Bernardo, Jesus, Yaya Toure, Mangala

Ludo

No Walker is a strange decision.

gavin

A couple of surprises there but the main focus is probably having a fully fit team for Sunday. Come on City.

Gareth

All-time scoring record under threat - one more goal for Marek Hamsik and he equals Diego Maradona's record of 115 for Napoli. Oh, and Kun...

That goal was coming and deserved.

First 20 mins they have done a Man City on us.

Neil Mcnab

Half time cannot come quick enough.

Ludo

KunDB

Under pressure our passing hurried and careless. DeBruyne having a stinker up to now

KunDB

Neil Mcnab

The game has turned, hopefully.

Sterling and Sane sensational in attack.

Moz1959

Sterling has looked brilliant down the right for sure.

Half time 1-1. Good to see our heads didn't drop after going 1-0 down and being dominated for 20 mins.

Also Gundogan has looked decent.

Cmon City. :cityscarf: :cityscarf: :cityscarf:

It is impressive and such a positive sign that we could turn the game around after 20mins outplayed. Augurs well for the future. Well done Pep and players.

gavin

A good competitive half of football. De Bruyne had a stinker first twenty and we didn't get going. But we're in it now and should be ahead!

Neil Mcnab

KDB had his worst 25 minutes I have seen him play for us - great minds, but has grown massively into the game since then. Bring it on.

Neil Mcnab

Reminded me of the way Liverpool have pressed us in the past under Klopp for the first quarter. No one can keep that up, can they?

Moz1959

Get in!

Both defenders to score would of been a good bet.

Cmon City!!!

KunDB

Well deserved goal for John Stones.

The Blue Blooded Maniac

Whys the stadium half empty?

KunDB

KunDB

That was a very impressive win away against a really top team. Well done all.

We look the real deal now and the pace of Sterling and Sane must frighten other teams.

gavin

Fantastic. They barely had a sniff even when they were chasing the game.

bluepill

crikey that was a game and a half

Neil Mcnab

A superb game, against great opposition. They were frustrated by how good we were at the end, Mertens the twot. Hope we have enough in the tank for the weekend.

bluepill

mertens and insinge look cracking players, that was the kind of game we would have had our arses handed to us in past seasons.

Swiss

A real rollercoaster match that.

We were poor, then good, then poor then counter specialists >:( :D :( :D >:( 8)

Was it on Foxtel Ken ?

zacc

Whew that was an exhausting watch. Best comment this eve "their goal keeper is good enough to play in mid field "haha

The local council imposed a capacity reduction on the stadium some years back because the crowd's bouncing around was causing mini earth tremors in nearby housing.

Fantastic performance tonight, is there anyone left who still thinks Sterling is crap??  :P

He has really flourished under Pep.

Italian football might be a bit iffy these days, but Italian football papers still make UK press look like child's comics.

just checked, 7 players have had a 10 between 1973 and 2015 and one of them was for performing cpr  :D

Really good performance by us in Napoli. We got plaudits for the first leg but in thought we were even better in the 2nd leg. Just keep it up and win the group.

bbk

This win allows us to rest players in Ukraine pre-derby.

gavin

Kev and Dave need some rest and Gundog and Bernard should have the quality to cover. Sergio and Jesus can interchange. And Sane and Sterling can mix it up with the others too. Options to rest people up top. Still a bit light in places at the back tho.
