another big one
no penalties please
Walker all over the place ffs
We look leggy after 20 minutes ffs
Disappointing first half. Lacking cutting edge again in and around the oppositions box
Need to improve second half.
C'mon City
A mixed half from City. Not quite there and dynamism certainly lacking. The referee should have booked Caicedo for the foul on Foden. Then he couldn't have pulled Kev for the foul shortly afterwards where he did get booked. This is how weak reffing affects games. There was no real excuse for not booking him for the first foul - he just booted Phil on the knee, miles away from the ball.
we are still shite at corners
Only one team tried to win. Chelsea's done an Arsenal & Real Madrid blocking the middle of the field and just defending all game.
Thank fook for that , big win after the disappointment midweek
The reffing in these matches is just embarrassing. He books Foden for complaining that Chelsea were time wasting. Then 8 minutes injury time, presumably for all the time wasting that they had been doing throughout. He gave a foul against Walker at the end for barging the bloke down the line. It was never a foul. The one that Walker did in the box was much more of a foul though I didn't think either was really a foul.
The commentary was awful too. City bossed possession but admittedly gave away a few chances to Chelsea as in the previous games against them this season. But they made it sound like City were lucky to come away without a hiding.
Not a great performance, we gave away the ball far too much, but a very good result after a very tough week. Well done to the lads for battling through in the end.
Surely Stones not injured again :o
