Post by: KunDB on January 31, 2018, 19:21:43
City XI | Ederson, Walker, Laporte, Otamendi, Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Silva (C), Bernardo, De Bruyne, Sterling, Agüero

Subs | Bravo, Danilo, Kompany, Gündogan, Adarabioyo, Yaya Touré, Diaz

The big news, Laporte starts. Silva plays.

C'mon City

Aymeric Laporte makes his debut against West Brom, plus four changes from the side that beat Cardiff on Sunday.

The French defender lines up alongside Nicolas Otamendi despite joining the Blues only yesterday.

Ederson returns in goal.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is recalled at left-back, and

David Silva is restored to midfield and skippers the side.

John Stones is absent with illness. I think Stones should be worried and looking to up the consistency of his game, now Laporte around and Otamendi a defender reborn.

Hit by a tackle and injured, hip or ribs I think.

Superb and smooth win.

Good win, I think it was Mclean and definitely Phillips should have seen red. Silva injured and Laporte was hobbling at the end.

Another ref fails to protect our players.

Good win though (and the rags tanked)

13 to go and we can afford to lose 5 and still win.

Another great performance, we should have finished them off much earlier really. But we are a fantastic team and a joy to watch.

It's such a shame that refs and the FA see fit to allow our players to be kicked and injured. They're not interested in protecting talented footballers from injury at all.

That does seem to be the case. The refs allow bad and hard challenges to happen so it makes it more of a fair game as teams like West brom can't compete with us by playing by the book.

Well, I agree with that although I'd argue with the use of "fair".

Bobby Madley is the worst ref I've ever seen in the prem imo.

You know it's bad when you get criticism from former refs like poll and halsey
