CITY XI | Bravo, Sagna, Zabaleta (c), Kolarov, Stones, Fernando, Gündogan, Navas, De Bruyne, Silva, Iheanacho
fucks sake
Whats up?
CITY SUBS | Caballero, Sterling, Nolito, Sané, Clichy, Touré, Adarabioyo
besides, kolarov, fernando and navas? nowt..looks a good team
Well considering how Roberts had Clichy on toast in midweek its probably for the best there. Navas has been unfortunate of late, he has put a lot of good balls in only for the others to fuck it up. I back that choice. Fernando looks a bit better of late too and he gets around the pitch. Not as good as Fernandinho but he went and got himself suspended.
going well
Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck...........
2 0 down 4 minutes in, will Pep notice now our defence is shite.
he'll never admit ,Hart is twice the goalie Claudio Bozo is,id chain the fucker to the post , stop him going walk about
I'm better than Bravo and I'm 16st and 55 years old....
Mental tactics. Just daft.
Stuart Pearce on the radio commentary... "Someone's got to stop the ball going into the net."
No one can say this embarrassment could not have been anticipated.
Ranieri playing the tinker man.

thats the forward thinking that got him the city job
We have no shape, no one seems to know what they're supposed to be doing and Pep can't see that Kolarov and Bravo are shit.
Jesus must be sitting watching this a thinking 'what the fuck am I doing here'
dogshit
It is an atrocious start to this game but Pep will get it right.

But obviously not part of Pep's interview powerpoint presentation...
The team lacks balance. Even when we attack on the wings we have no one in the box to attack.

but the interview was just brian kidd eating chips and half of oasis asking pep about his top 5 turtle necks
fernando and kolarov are shit
even fernando and kolarov know that
I'm a huge Pep fan but this is close to unforgivable. The defence is appalling and we look shite up front!
Transitional season it is then!

Throw in Bravo as well and Zabaleta is past his best and Stones too inexperienced.
dont start on stones...we'll judge him next year
I cant watch this shit anymore, feck.
well thats gotta be the worse city display i have seen since i was a kid..bobbins
Embarrassing

Stones is the future but he is being used to secure the present, unfairly, by Guardiola
how is he going to be ready if he doesnt play?
It was dog shit.
Before the season began I would have been happy for Kolarov, Navas and Fernando being moved on. Today has put a light on that. Zabaleta and Clichy look more suited to Italian football now.
Stones confidence must be shot, he should be playing next to players who can help him develop. He cant be the one carrying all the responsibility.
As for the rest of the defense and clownio, pfffft.
Without Dinho, who has been papering over the cracks, we are short in midfield. I like Gundog, but he doesnt have the same engine, different qualities.
We have not played well for sometime. Either we dont have the right players for Peps system/s, or Pep needs to change the system/s to suit the players we do have. I am certain he has not had such major problems before, now he earns his money...
No doubt the cheque book will be out the minute the window opens.
Feckin Michael Owen all over again!

Play yes mainstay NO.
We need some Italian defenders. Get some hard nosed ankle kickers in!
(Who know how to pass a ball efficiently...)

Too many players are having stinkers at the moment, it is catching. It doesn't help that there is little to no confidence in the back four. We're gonna have to play a bit deeper at the back or find some quicker defenders. Mind you Clichy is supposed to be quickish and he got murdered midweek. If the chequebook does come out in January then it needs to be for defenders. If he can sort it at the back then hopefully the forwards will start playing with confidence - we know we have the skills there even if we didn't really show it today. Mind you, two goals away at Leicester should most often be enough to win.
I will say that neither Chelsea or Leicester wasted many chances against us. They're not always going to fly in like they have in the last couple.

To be fair, they were consolation goals on our behalf.
Pep needs to realise that his style of play that was so successful in Spain and Germany does not work here, the Premier league is so much faster and intense and not at all laid back. We need a defence and Joe Hart. When we were on attack, Leicester had eleven men behind the ball. When they broke, our def were sitting on the halfway line. Not just this game but also against Celtic. Chopin and changes all the time just doesn't serve our purpose, only helps the oppossition
Probably right Paddy.
As for Hart though, he aint all that.
ingerlunds number 1
he invented goalkeeping
If the great players get progressively worse as the season goes on ,it has to be down to the way they are being told to play ,Big European managers can't seem to cut it here
Chelsea ain't all that, they only managed a 1-0 win against West Brom at Home ,does that make West Brom three times better than City ? We got big problems, cant see even the fattest of cheque books sorting it out,we already have world class player , that can't play
the problem lies with players like kolarov, fernando, navas, clichey, otamendi
yup im defending pep....and i expect him to sack most of them off in the summer if not sooner.
i hear danny rose could be coming..that will please steve :)

But in the meantime he should adapt his tactics to suit the players at his disposal. What is the point in selecting 3 defenders with little pace between them and then asking them to play a high line against a fast counter-attacking side??
