England win the tournament with Trafford, Harwood-Bellis, Doyle and Palmer all playing a part. Gomez has had a good tournament for Spain and also played in the final. The future is bright sky blue.

A good result and lots of involvement for our players. Gomez was playing further up the field, wasnt he? The question is are any good enough to be long term starters for the first team.
Trafford has been sold to Burnley for £19 million with a buy back clause. Other academy players have been sold or about to be sold at profit. So the academy has become a cash cow. Best of both worlds here: have a quality player move to the full squad or sell for profit. A good business model 👍
The Academy is definitely producing the goods in terms of transfer fees. With the quality of the first team it is near impossible for them to produce for players to go straight into the first team. They've done very well to get Rico, Cole and Phil as solid members of the first team squad.
Now Shea Charles leaves for around £10-£15 million. It has been another profitable summer so far. I wonder how many of these will be bought back at some stage.
