Ye it was a very exciting time when Shinawatra brought him in and apart from the boro game, it was a hell of a season. And was as good as we could have hoped for at the time.

He was always a gentleman. RIP Sven.

After the last Pearce season, what a difference the first half of the season of Sven was! There was real hope for a time and some great moments that I still remember well now. The run by Neddy on the first game. What a free kick by Elano against Newcastle. Johnson looked like he could be a legend. Ireland was coming through. We beat the rags twice. No way should he have been sacked. I blame Thaksin for the embarrassment at Boro.

It was superb when he came in, I could not believe a manager of his standing was at City. A real gent, RIP.
