Squad for tomorrow
James Trafford, Ruben Dias, Tijjani Reijnders, John Stones, Nathan Ake, Omar Marmoush, Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku, Nico Gonzalez, Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Manu Akanji, Savinho, Matheus Nunes, Rayan Cherki, Ederson, Nico O'Reilly, Abdukodir Khusanov, Oscar Bobb,Divine Mukasa, Rico Lewis
Kovacic, Gvardiol, Foden, Rodri & Echeverri deemed not fit to travel.
Phillips, Grealish, Ortega, McAtee left behind to find new teams.
A lot surprised that Ortega had been cast overboard. Has served us loyalty and really well as the back up goalie.
Decent no.2, but we don't need him right now so I'm not surprised
CITY XI: Trafford, Lewis, Khusanov, Stones, Ait-Nouri, Nico, O'Reilly, Bobb, Cherki, Marmoush, Haaland (C)
Subs: Ederson, Dias, Reijnders, Ake, Doku, Gundogan, Bernardo, Akanji, Savinho, Nunes, Mukasa
Trafford in net and Haaland is Captain.
I predict Stones to go off injured after 20 minutes.
Careless at the back already. Lucky not to concede.
1-0 City HT.
A disjointed performance. Khusanov impressed a couple of times though.
Half time one nil to City and City in control apart from the usual carelessness at the back. Erling scored, a nice finish in the end but I actually thought his first touch was not great and then it fell perfect for him. Maybe we should have had another but my main concern is that last year's errors are the back are still very apparent. Even though the culprits today weren't here last season.
To sum up Gav, we fuck around too much trying to pass out from the back when sometimes we should just hoof it.
Ten changes at half time. Only Erling stayed on.
FT 3-0 City. Unbelievably Stevie didn't predict this...
The reindeer looks awesome. Feed the Reindeer and he will score.
Yeah, thought Tiji looked great, as did Khusanov when in tight positions
