Trafford, Lewis, Stones, Dias (C), Ait-Nouri, Nico, Reijnders, Bobb, Cherki, Marmoush, Haaland
Subs: Ederson, Ake, Doku, Rodri, Bernardo, Nunes, O'Reilly, Khusanov, Foden
Trafford still in net despite Eddie on the bench. Cherki and Marmoush in for Doku and Bernard.
Looking forward to watching this team, seems to be very attacking.
Very exciting team set up.
C'mon City
Poor defending again. Lewis didn't track the scorer at all and he was way ahead of him.
Missed a couple of good opportunities too.
In the name of good fuck !!
Bogey Spurs strike again
Gutted, so last season. Defence is woeful.
Poor. We've had a few chances but same old story at the back. The second was one of the worst mistakes ever. Absolutely brain dead pass.
We need a new defence !
Both CBs are past it and we don't have a recognised right back!
Garbage half that. Straight back to last seasons performances.
I feel for Trafford. Was a dreadful pass, hope that doesn't wreck the young lads confidence.
Bringing in Cherki for Bernard was a mistake. It changed the balance of the side. Bernard should be covering the ground to allow Reijnders to go forward.
Dreadful 2nd half so far for us. Even after the subs. We look clueless.
Yep, we got no better at all. Might as well not bothered coming out for the second half. We had one decent chance in the second half that Erling squandered but it was utterly forgettable. A very early wake up call to be beaten by a poor spurs side. And much of our problems were self created.
Piss poor today , hopefully onwards and upwards

I too was surprised we change the starting line up and also didn't have our captain...
Having said that, I think it was the Ait Nouri injury that skewed our formation.
I'll give Trafford that mistake, it's a learning curve and it's clearly something we work on in training.
Rico however... all at sea. Rash, out of position. Poor in possession, loses his man often.
Nico G needed to track the runner more. He left Ake with 2 attackers on him.
Attacking was fine margins.
Marmoush needed a delicate pink, but seemed to want to hit with power.
Haalands square ball was shite.
Riejnders seeming to pass into no one when it looked like he had room to control and shoot.
And we should have had a pen.
Not a good performance st all. We didn't control the play and 2 stupid errors which both led to a goal.
But can be expected with a lot of new players
So it seems that we should have had a penalty. How convenient that VAR didn't spot that.

I have to say that I had already softened a bit on the performance anyway. We should have scored one or two from the chances we had from open play. We deserved a draw at least I would say. Take away that clanger for their second and we had the better of the game. That is not great considering it was Spurs that we were playing but still we are maybe not that far off.
City done my 6 accumulator bet ffs
2 mistakes (slip by stones & wanky pass), and 2 goals.
We were wasteful in attack. Just one of those days.
Death. Taxes and getting beat by spurs.
Defeat by our body team, much expected im afraid. Having said we will go on a 23 game unbeaten run and win the league 😁😁
Not sure without a proper RB and if ait-nouri is injured.
Not seen any news on that
