Title: V Scum
Post by: gavin on September 14, 2025, 15:18:14
CITY: Donnarumma, Khusanov, Dias, Gvardiol, O'Reilly, Rodrigo, Bernardo (C), Reijnders, Foden, Doku, Haaland

Subs: Trafford, Ake, Nico, Savinho, Nunes, Bobb, Mukasa, Lewis, Mfuni

Hmmmm. Looks like selection is rather force again.

A minutes silence before the game for Ricky.

Not the first eleven I was hoping for. Would like to have seen Nico and Savinho start.

Still a good starting eleven, so let's go grab this game and win it.

A draw is fine, but not good enough.

C'mon the blues.

An interesting selection and a clear nod to Gigi being no. 1.

Nice to see Khus given a chance at rb

Giving the ball away too much , silly free kicks , need to stop fucking around or we will lose this

Solid enough first half, but too often we panic and rush the pass giving it back to Utd. More calm, more passing needed, but it's a team getting familiar with how to play so not unexpected. Lovely Foden goal.

It should be more. Trying to be too intricate rather than having a go again. Our insistence on continually passing back to the keeper is putting us under pressure.

Agreed We need to stop that quick. Donna is no Eddie with his feet.  He's had a good half though, looked confident better sticks.

At least today's keeper knew when to hoof it.

A good performance all round. Bernardo is not at his peak but he is still good. Donnarumma excelled today. Foden looks on his way back, the header was superb. Haaland was Haaland, looking ultra sharp.

It will take time for the team to gel together, and I expect a really tough time next week against Arsenal but that is all part of gelling.

What a beautiful blue day.

Three points, three goals and a clean sheet. A wonderful derby day. It should have been ten.

Great result but far from perfect. Good signs though. We're still playing back to the keeper as if he's Eddie. I'm sure we'll stop that as Donna lost possession a few times when passing out after our defenders passed it to him.

Thought Bernardo and Reindjeers were below par. The rest played well. Foden looks sharpe and Doku got 2 good assists. Rodri still half a yard short and looked knackered when he came off, but he just needs a run of games.

Can go into the next week at work happy!

Think we looked much better defensively with Khus and O'Reilly.

Passing into and out of the Central mid still looks a weak point where it's been a strong one for us for years.

Foden def added a lot of ball control in the middle.

That save from Gigi was deeeecent!

A different all round Haaland today. Superb.

Haaland was better in defence than he was up front. He should have had a hat trick. But his presence at the back was probably worth more than a goal. He is really growing as an all round player now. He looked close to collapse on more than one occasion such was his effort.
