CITY XI: Donnarumma, Nunes, Khusanov, Guéhi, Ait-Nouri, Rodrigo, Bernardo (C), O'Reilly, Semenyo, Cherki, Haaland

Subs: Trafford, Reijnders, Ake, Marmoush, Nico, Foden, McAidoo, Alleyne, Lewis

A good start to the day with the women thrashing Chelsea and really taking hold of the title race.

Great finishes from Cherki and Semenyo but it is Captain Fantastic Bernardo that is catching my eye. He is everywhere winning the balling and making the play. Should be three really, Erling owes us a goal second half.

Can't defend a two goal lead

Gutless and pathetic second half.

This pulling, pushing and holding at corners needs sorting out. It seems it is now within the rules to just pull Haaland to the floor. Just do it early and it is absolutely fine. The perfect defensive tactic.

Relieved we didn't loose 3-2 in the end. I would have put money on it when they equalised.

Very poor 2nd half. We're bang average this season, add that to the way we played last season. Questions have to be asked.

Yeh, we were shit second half but us being shit doesn't excuse the appalling reffing, yet again.

Webb has to be sacked.

The problem is not just defence is the whole team. We were on fire first half, serving half totally burnt out. Speed changed tactics and we cracked, no resilience, no leadership.

Pathetic really, needs sorted and we're need a resilient midfielder to provide leadership and kick the arse of the feather light players.

All talent little battle. When roughed up we crumble. In fairness, might just be a cohesion thing, that the team meeting more time to bond.

I actually thinknthr issue isbthe central mid. Too weak. Not combative or competitive enough.

We look sluggish dropping back.

Too many also rans in the squad taking the space for decent players.

Hard to know what is actually going on but it started last season and although we looked better at the start, this is looking like another poor year.

Controversial I know, but I think it's to do with Pep. It's been mooted hes leaving for a couple of seasons and that has to play into the culture of the club. Uncertainty doesn't help in any organisation and it's showing on the pitch. Very little leadership amongst the playing staff and players looking like they are not bothered.

I also think the recruitment has been very average for 3 seasons. We've spent a lot but the quality isn't there.

I think Guehi looks a decent signing.

And although I was disappointed with Seymenyo at spurs, I think he's been great too. Marked step up on sav and bobb

Yeah. I agree with your comments they are decent, but not top tier.

If we think back to the signings of YA Ya, Silva, KDB, Sergio, Kompany.

With the exception of Donaruma and Haaland not sure any come close.

We will see in a couple of years if they are top tier. But it's fair to say that the quality of signings certainly dipped a few years ago.

Kompany didn't come to us as the finished article. But he is easily the best cb in my living memory for us.

All players are top quality when they develop after many seasons. Is not the time to judge these players, give them time to learn and develop.

Teams need to gel for individuals to stand out and shine.
