Trafford, Nunes, Khusanov, Stones (C), Ake, Nico, Reijnders, O'Reilly, Savinho, Doku, Marmoush
Subs: Donnarumma, Dias, Cherki, Guéhi, Rodri, Bernardo, Ait-Nouri, Semenyo, Foden
An enormous number of changes. I'm quite surprised.
I'm not surprised, this is still a very strong set of players, given our schedule.
Real Madrid away Wednesday, West Ham away next Saturday at a ridiculous 8pm. Ridiculous given we play Real Madrid again Tuesday evening.
I take this as a genuine attempt to win the tie while placing the middle finger up to the schedule. Bear in mind there could be extra time tonight.
This is what I was hoping Pep would do.
Come on the blues.
Well I was gearing up to lambast Pep for making too many changes after 25 minutes. But all of a sudden we looked like a team and deservedly level at half time. Fuck knows what sort of finish that was from Savinho though. I reckon it just hit him and he knew nothing about it. Which is probably just as well given his finishing so far this season. But he had a very good half. Lets hope we can continue after half time.
Savinho knew, believe me, but he didn't have time to react so just angled his left foot to block the ball and score.
Stunning performance from City. Best I've seen this season.
Every player gets 9/10 from me, except Savinho and Marmousch they can have 10/10 & 9.5/10 respectively.
Great to be a blue, especially on nights like this.
The best performance for quite some time. Some of those players have put themselves in the frame for Wednesday now.
