Title: Pep
Post by: Stephen Paul on March 12, 2026, 17:17:16
Alot of talk he might go at the end of the season as the owners want to freshen things up

It's difficult to know what's going on at the Etihad

It starting to feel like he's coming to the end. Nothing lasts forever and it's been truly amazing. Too good really.

We won't get anyone as good again though that's for sure and I think we all know what that means. 😕

He said in a recent press conference that 'We will be better next season'. It was clear that he is staying. He is building a new great team. A master does not stop in the middle of a great piece of art.

I agree, I will be surprised if he leaves. I expect this team to be exceptional in the coming years.

Again, at the end of the West Ham embargoed press conference, he said 'next season we will be back.'
If he plans to leave this summer then he is going out of his way to lie about it. I do not think that that is his way of doing things.

He clarified the statement 'we will be back' in his recent press conference, stating that when he says that it is because he feels he will always be part of the club now even if he is no longer manager.

It is being widely reported now that City have been telling sponsors that he is off at the end of the season.

Yep. It does seem like the messaging coming out of the club it's pointing towards Sunday being his last game in charge.😕

End of an era. What a ride though!

It is sad if Pep does leaves but it has been a magnificent ten years and he will always be a part of the club and is glorious history.

What a manager, what a person and what a humanitarian Pep is.

Sorely missed if he leaves, but leaving with firm foundations for our futures to continue building.

Thank you Pep, you are a true legend. Worthy of a stand out the ground being named in your honour.

ps: could you reconsider or come back after a wee break, please, pretty please.

Season is over now. I expect a formal announcement in the coming days. I hope it comes before the final match so we can all give him the send off he deserves.

Pep coming to us was a huge moment in our club's history. His leaving is equally momentous.

Even after a cup double, I'm deflated. 😔

Leaving on a mid high. Seems wrong to be deflated after the cup double (i feel that way too). Just because of the way we surrendered the prem league.

Aside a few odd selections in key games, it's been the best journey ever!

Average of 2 trophies per year over a decade! Who could ask for more! Shame he couldn't break ferries record but hey; the king is dead, Long live the king!

There is something very odd going on here. Pep is leaving according to the usual bullshit media accounts but absolutely nothing from the club itself either way. My conclusion is nothing has been decided and I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if Pep stays.

Maresca is being touted by many as Pep's replacement. If the leaks are coming from his end I think Khaldoon will immediately rule him out for the the job, as he should.

He is going to talk to the Chairman. Let's hope the Chairman is persuasive.

The end of a glorious era. It can't be matched. Not at City or any other club.

Feels a bit like a death in the wider family, but it's not as bad as that.

Knowing it was coming doesn't ease the regret and pain, but I'll focus on what a remarkable and exhilarating ten years it's been and look forward to a different and glorious future under a new manager. Thank you for everything Pep, seems like a massive understatement, but thank you Pep.

Pep is Man City and Man City will always be hereafter moulded by Pep.
