I wasn't sure what to expect from next season with Pep gone. But after watching Rodri last night for Spain. He looks back to his incredible best. He was immense last night.
He struggled to hit form for us last season after recovering from ACL injury, but if he's back to playing at his top level, that gives me confidence!
It seems far from sure that he will be playing for us next season. He is coming to the end of his contract and we will either need to cash in or give him a big new contract. This is going to be one of the big decisions of the summer.
It is great to see him coming back to full form though!
I suspect we have seen the last of Rodri, an absolute legend and irreplaceable (to the same level performance).
Big changes next season, got better or got worse. Let's hope the golden decade is not over just evolving to a glorious future.
I expect he'll honour his contract for next season then leave on a free.
We don't seem to sell in the last year of a contract and with Pep gone I think the club would want to avoid losing such a big player at the same time. Plus there is still time to try to convince him to stay.

The City site has really been pushing the Rodri printed shirts in the last few days. It would be a bit daft to do that if they are expecting him to move on.
New contract for Phil. Let's hope a summer's rest is what he needs to get back to his best.
Really hope he can get his form back. He's been very ordinary for two seasons now. 🤞
