Title: The green green grass of home...
Post by: The Blue Blooded Maniac on December 19, 2014, 11:29:38
Toure has completed a league high of 1313 passes this season in the league, ten more than Fabregas.

Just sayin.

I doubt a completed pass is included to opposition. Then an incomplete pass would be him kicking into space and nobody touching it :p

Nearly broke the goal post with that third goal!

Aside from his erratic shooting I thought Yaya was good today. Just a couple of moments when I can remember thinking "Run - you bugger!"

People can deride Yaya all they want. He is our current player of the year. He is already a club legend through his performances over years and his trophy winning goals, time after time. Still, in what is admittedly a relatively poor season for him, he scores important goals regularly. The guy is a winner, a proven winner. There will come a time when he has to finish for City but he is still contributing to games at a level that will be very hard to replace. Yes, I can think of a multitude of players that will run harder, tackle better but not many will score his goals in big games.
