We need legs from the DM, sadly they went years ago. Zinchenko is no left back, though has quality. Sterling is not a number 9. KDB is making me knackered just watching him close their GK/defence down. This cannot be good, with the weekend in mind. Only good thing is they are a big team and have been running round like blue arsed flies. They will run out of steam - I hope. I know Pep says one game at a time, but besides KDB, how many are thinking ahead. Sorry to say I am.
Yes, they are a good hard working side with some skills. You can see how they can turn over a half arsed side like the rags. Going to make us look half arsed if we don't buck our ideas up!
Could we pay someone to take Mangala, it would be worth it.

As soon as KdB and Sane decided to sort things out on their own - I knew that was going in.
KDB superb for the goal. Bristol look like they have put a shift in already. Five against five for the goal, we would have been outnumbered in the first half. Hope KDB doesnt have to play all the second half.
Everyone of the team tonight, minus KdB& Sergio, should be forced to undertake shooting lessons the have been awful in front of goal.
Just wondering if Aguero had a kick yet, and commentators confirm he hasn't!

Missed the goal and the end, but a late Aguero effort. Obviously they gave everything, only KDB can hold his head up from us. Aguero did his bit at the end.
Hard on Bristol they played some great stuff and never hoofed it.
Didn’t go to plan for us tonight. We could have done with KDB coming off after 60 mins. Still, a win is a win.
Not impressed with silva, Gundogan, ya ya or mangala tonight. Bar KDB, the rest weren’t much cop either.
Slight twinge of sadness for Bristol City. They probably deserved to go into the second leg with it all square.
Our back line was a nightmare. A triangle of horror between Mangala, Stones, and Bravo!
Poor team putting in a poor performance. We need a better team and performance at Bristol.

About the only thing B Silva got right all night was the perfect delivery for Aguero's goal.

A few individual highlights papered over the cracks tonight.
Our 1st XI plus 3 or 4 others are top notch but after that we're treading water. Mangala, Bravo, Zinchencko, Yaya, Danilo aren't good enough. Gundogan and Bernardo need to step up and Sane needs a kick up the arse.

I'm not so sure he could even find Oldham - he has enough trouble finding his teammates.
Mango seems to play better in the big games. Sane had an absolute stinker and didn't distinguish himself with effort either. Sterling always seems to contribute these days even when he's not great. Twas a great ball back to KDB for the first goal and not something you'd have seem from him before this season. A great finish by KDB too, of course. Fantastic to get a winner at the end. We'll play better but it's rare we don't find a way to win.

Harsh on Zinchenko, he's a tidy footballer being asked to do a job in an unfamiliar position and he hasn't let us down so far.
It may be harsh but it's true. He won't be here next season.
I'd like to see Zinchenko given a go in his proper position in midfield. As Brendan said, he's doing a decent job for us in a new position for him and he looks a footballer.

he will be here next season almost certainly as he has impressed and been trusted by Pep.
We need to give these youngsters a chance otherwise why have an academy, and the expense...!!!!
