Title: Brazil squad...
Post by: Gareth on August 17, 2018, 17:33:40
... for upcoming friendly internationals.

No City players picked - that's G Jesus, 'Dinho, and Ederson all omitted compared with their World Cup squad. It's a shame if those guys are disappointed, but from a sky blue point of view I think it's good that their focus will be 100% City.

Have they let them off travelling? Or are they the money spinners played in Europe?

From Reuters (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-soccer-brazil/tite-brings-in-young-blood-for-brazil-soccer-friendlies-in-usa-idUSKBN1L21R5)

"Brazil face the United States in New Jersey on Sept 7 and then play El Salvador in Washington four days later."

Its a bit weird to drop them all considering there's a lot of other prem players in the squad. Nevertheless, it is good for us so thanks a lot.

I can sort of understand Dinho. At 33 the manager may want to start to build a new team for the coming years. Having said that, a sprinkling of experience is a good thing.

Jesus. Well no he didn't score in the world cup, but to go from starter to non-squad is a bit weird.

Ederson is a rumoured personal issue.

I sure hope it's a personal issue that doesn't prevent him playing for City...
