Still no Ota or Sane in a starting XI in the league this season. A bit surprising. Should be good enough to win here. Come on City.

Wolves all too often the first to the ball. We look a little sluggish. Some rudimentary Wolves tackling...

Not Vinny's best first half. I'd be tempted to take him off at half time. We've had plenty of opportunities even though Wolves have again caused us problems. I am a bit surprised that they've not had a better start to the season. They were effective against us last season. Nonetheless, we have been more likely and we should manage to finish it off second half.

Putting ourselves under pressure too often, Mendy's foul throw set off panic alarms and we started giving the ball away near our own box.

Thanks PL for no VAR. handball goal for theme and a clear pen 2 mins later for us not given. We would be 1 up with a pen if VAR had been in rather than 1 down.

Doesn't mask the fact we've been poor though.

Great header. Take that Wolves! Ridden more than your fair share of luck up to now.

Not the greatest performance but still we only fell behind thanks to a goal that shouldn't have stood for two reasons! We didn't really get enough presure built up to ensure a winner but came very close all the same. Disappointing in many ways. Sloppy football at times.

"Plucky" Wolves got lucky there. But we were off the pace in the first half.

Totally frustrating, City not at their best, Wolves a well oiled machine carrying on from their last season good form. Missing KDB massively. However to be undone by a hand ball!! grrrr!!  >:(

Football is a cruel mistress at times. Liverpool played worse than us but the three points. It will go the other way too though. We're still looking the best side in the division.

I've said it time and time again, refs don't give City penalties when they can, bust their ass to give them to the scousers and rags. We are far superior to both but need to guard against post title complacency.

Statistically it's very very tough to win back to back titles. Last time it was done was in 2008 I think. We are the best team in this league but it's going to be one hell of an achievement to win the title again. I expect they'll be a few more of these types of games where we don't look quite at it. Doesn't necessarily mean complacency though, we are the champions and have a target on our backs in every game.
