Title: away @Chelsea
Post by: KunDB on December 08, 2018, 16:39:33
City XI | Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Delph, Fernandinho, Silva (C), Mahrez, Sane, Bernardo, Sterling

Subs | Muric, Danilo, Kompany, Gundogan, Otamendi, Jesus, Foden

Jesus rested. C'mon City.

I'd have stuck with Jesus and left Mahrez out but hope it works out. Sterling is best on the wing.

Not too bad a performance first half even though we didn't create a lot. We just weren't decisive in front of goal with all the ball we had and then they were with the little they had. Disappointing, I wouldn't persevere with it like this long in the second half. I'd get Jesus on quite sharpish if nothing happens quick.

Shocking time to concede. We look toothless up front. We really miss Aguero. I don’t really rate Jesus but I’m not sure playing Sterling up front has ever really worked well?

Big 45 minutes coming up.

Sterling just has to play on the wing. He did move there in the first half but it is a must for me that he plays there. Thats his position. Moving him into midfield didn't work and neither did playing him up front.

I can't watch at the moment but I'll take the point now.
With Jesus on now I sense we will improve  :)

So he moves Sterling to the left. Right fucking wing. Sane on the left. We never look the same without.

Too many injuries mounting up and a little too experimental, tactically, I thought.

Despite all the media hype we don't quite have the depth of quality everyone thinks we do. Not nearly sharp enough in front of goal.

Given the money we’ve spent to have only signed one good  striker over the years is pretty criminal.

Outplayed today. It happens. No need to hit the panic button. Forget about it and move on.

My thoughts exactly during the game.

Forwards not been firing on all cylinders for a while now. Kun will still get goals anyway but Jesus firing blanks. I tend to think it's more an issue of how Pep works his forwards rather than they are out of form.

He almost never plays Kun and Jesus together (when both are available). Would that really be such a bad idea?
