Newcastle came out after the break looking as if they wanted to play for a minute or two there... we just slapped them down again!

Goal difference down to just 3 now. That certainly helps.

If we keep subbing our best players the goal difference is going to stay at -3

would you risk aguero and silva or keep them for barca?

Superb performance that was wonderful to watch.
Only negative Newcastle did very little today but even that very little left me worrying about our defencxe espeicially against Barcelona.

Hopefully we are coming back to form at just the right time. But I suspect Newcastle made it rather easy for us. Nevertheless a resounding win is just what we needed and we go into two big crucial games on a high. It has been a great day all round. Just a bit of a shame Bony didn't manage to bury his chance.

Great result,  put the magpies to the sword with little sweat or energy expended. Newcastle, no effort, no closing down, no leadership. Roll on Barca.

It was just an observation. Subbing Aguero and Silva was fair enough in the circumstances, but I might have left Nasri on.

Great win and seriously needed by us especially with the other results yesterday, however Toon were just awful.  What is it with Dzeko though? If he applied himself in every game like he did yesterday he'd be one of the best in the world. His goal was pure class. He has wasted his time at City.

Wish Boney had put that chance away would have been a good confidence booster before Barca.

ahh was just curious how you would have handled glass boy aguero with a bigger game coming up

We could've been forgiven for having one eye on the Barca game, but I was really impressed with how we went about our business yesterday. Granted, Newcastle were craptacular, but you can only beat what's in front of you and other football cliches too numerous to mention.
