Cheers
-
You're welcome.

It's really, really bad you must stay in, never leave the house or you'll die. By the way don't forget to go to work as normal, even if you work in a completely non-essential position, because no matter how serious this is - work is more important. Typical Tory bollocks. Either it is deadly serious or not. What a fucking shambles.

You working from home, Gav?
Fucking ridiculous approach from the government, it's either essential work only - NHS-related and food distribution and supply - or just carry on as normal, you can't have some daft halfway house.
I'm eagerly (ha!) awaiting to see what the government has in store to help the self-employed, my income plummeted by about 75% when the exams were cancelled.
-
I'm working from home but I'm actually off this week anyway so even better. I'd expect some risk if I was a key worker but I know several people who work in factories and small businesses that are totally unnecessary at the moment but have to go in to work regardless. It is utterly shameful to present this as a deadly crisis where people must stay in and then leave these people in the lurch having to go to work. Not to mention their families. These people are told to stay in and then have someone coming back in to the house who has been in contact with numerous people anyway! It is farcical.
Let's be clear they have made a calculation of lives v economy and lives lost. Though, I have doubts whether it will end up being better for the economy anyway.
Allegedly you'll get 80% of your income come June but good luck with it. Knowing the Tories it will be near impossible.
-
The thing is in most European countries when people are unemployed/sick whatever the various governments have always paid circa 80% or so of earnings. Here the tory bastards would have you believe they're being extremely generous and we should be thankful.

I'm sure it was you who expressed concern first? Silly old git.
Good to see that you managed to break free from the mountain of bog roll Brenda. Atleast if you shit yourself you were well supplied.
-
Yes, thanks for the concern guys....I think. :o
"Mountain of bog roll" - very funny BBM, not seen one of those for weeks.
-
Silly me, mountain of daily sport then :D

On a lighter note.

Australian scientists like to try things out...
Here we had the same lives v economy bollocks. Government told us not to shop for anything but absolute essentials - but ordered all the shopping centres to stay open - with all their scented candle gift shops and boutique fashion emporiums!

scented candle gift shops
homeopathy is a real treatment

The Chinese economy recovering and folk are back to work

First game was 3-3 pesty pants
And was literally my first game on it
-
How did your second and third game go?
-
I'm glad youre feeling better Alexi. Not many trips to Liverpool produce anything good.
In the media Doctors dying after calling for better protection are currently playing second fiddle to the clueless fuckwit who brought it on himself feeling a bit better. Sickening.

The mathematics of Covid-19 blows my mind whenever I see the daily toll. 980. That's five Herald Of Free Enterprises. Seven Aberfans. Ten Hillsboroughs. Events which stunned the nation. Nothing was the same again. And that's just normalised now, every day, times five, seven, ten.
-

Cheers Gav. Ultimately I brought it on myself when I married a scouser 7 years ago. She's an evertonian though, so could be worse.

Cheers lad. Peaks and troughs aye. The troughs seem to coincide with visiting Liverpool :D

Good to hear you're on the mend Lekos.

2 Euro for a pint of pish

If you follow my instructions carefully when making the brew, it'll turn out loads cheaper.
-
Might still be pish though.

Got the gear at weekend to start making wine at home. Will get it started this week. Works out at about £1.50 a bottle :D
-
Been on this n all lately. Buckfast wish it was. Its alright!
-
Sanatogen? Definitely sounds like hospital cleaning fluid. And WTF is 'tonic wine'? Is it fizzy?
-
Got a nice selection of the same stuff last night haha.
It's a bit like kids medicine whatever the fuck it's called. Just like blackcurrant I'd say. Not fizzy at all. As flat as a witches tit. Me mate had a sip and nearly threw it back up. Must be an acquired taste. To be fair though last week he did actually chuck up cos he did a shot of port.
Any who....

Can i go for fucking hair cut or not? Not had one since before the first lock down and it's getting a little ridiculous. For the first time in my life I could have a pony tail.
Mind you, not many people of my age have any which got me wondering. Who is the baldest in this forum>
-
You have been able to have a haircut for weeks. And I'm the baldest, I shaved my head with a Philips rotary shaver this morning. Get it done. Best thing ever not having to fuck around with hair for more than a few minutes each week.
-
That's actually good advice thinking about it. A Citymancs first.
-
I was pretty sure I'm the only one on here with some hair on me head.
The more you know!
-
had to shave my head twice here to get by , bloody madness
-
As I age, I'm definitely getting a bit more cadfael up top with a widows peak.
-
Unlike most I'm getting hairier, I can now brush my ear hairs across my bonce Bobby Charlton style.
-
Back on topic. Looks like it's kicking off in our beloved City.
Don't have a lot of time for Andy as a rule but good on ya lad.
-
Its about time people stand up to these corrupt bastards in Government

Deny food, deprive communication and you win the war. The absolute fucking bastards, please read beyond the headline.

The Tories are just scum. Always have been and always will be.
-
They deliberately create an under-class. Probably for many reasons but the main two I think are
!) The creation of a pool of cheap labour
2) Some fucker to blame when it inevitably goes tits up.

Appoint the dog as Minister for Health.
-
I concur, A years supply of Pedigree Chum probably costs less than he claimed for lunch today.
-
Had the test today. Makes your fucking eyes water a bit.
-
I see the incumbent incompetent government have managed to totally fuck it up again.
Surely London and the SE should have been in tier 3 long ago, as stats suggested. We now have this current shit show. Much as I enjoy watching these tory cunts expose themselves as idiots, it is now serious. Looks like all those Tory MP's will now not be able to visit their country estates for Christmas.
-
The Tory MPs will do what the fuck they want as usual and damn the rest of us.
-
Boris is already in India in his head and therefore won't be able to answer any questions until the end of January.
-
I have never voted as a blue. When this pandemic hit no government would have been prepared for it. We have been misguided, misinformed and disillusioned but the basic guide lines make sense; Wear a mask where appropriate, wash your hands regularly and keep your distance. Simple but logical actions so, why do we have so many stupid bastards who think they know better and are contributing heedlessly to the the contamination and DEATH rate. We used to have internment camps over here for those that threatened or endangered normal peoples lives. These idiots are doing the same by a different method but deserve the same treatment, lock them up until we can see some normality returning
-
No government could have been prepared for it. They saw what was going on in China then Italy then Spain and did next to fuck all. The head of the fuckwits went to a hospital to shake hands. No government could have been prepared for it but they could have responded in a quick, efficient, maybe just sensible manner.
Oh aye, and if the NHS was properly funded in the first place then it would be in a much better position to deal with exceptional circumstances like these.
-
Ordered another 24 bottles, arriving Monday vis ASDA online. This can be updated anytime, how long are we locked down for?
-
Had the jab. Not dead, I repeat NOT DEAD. Bit of a headache next day but that could be down to the JD. Anyone else been stabbed?
I only ask because I'm doing research.
-
My dad's(70's) had his.
He had some flu like symptoms for 24 hours.
My mate (37) had his (he's NHS), was freezing cold for 6 hours, feverish for another 6 then fine.
My mum has hers today.
-
What kind of research are you doing?
-
Both my parents have had it with no ill effects really.
-
What kind of research are you doing?
I was bombarded by a COVID denier, anti-vaxxer etc on FB (I know but I use it for FF only) and I need some stats to prove she's an idiot.
So far 4 vaccinations, some slight symptoms but most importantly no one dead. I also think the symptoms may be psychosomatic.
-
I've had covid. It wasn't nice.
Best thing to do with anti-vaxers is to let them not get the vaccine and watch them become Ill.
They're all loons.
-
I've had the first Pfizer jab, i didn't even get the sore arm and, more disappointingly, no free 5G reception either. Bill Gates needs to up his game.
-
on the plus side you can play dos games on brenda now

DOS was ace. It was so much easier to fuck things up.

used it before for the old terminator game and sensible world of soccer
sensible soccer ..brilliant
-
The score so far 5-0.
-
Got my vaccination booked for Thursday at Sportscity. I could have gone somewhere closer but I feel more comfortable being close to City. Assuming I’ll get AZ.
-
My 2nd Pfizer jab is booked for next Friday, apparently the 2nd one has had more side effects. Great.
-
I got the Moderna, no side effects apart from a sore arm.
My Dad (74) got his 2nd Pfizer a few weeks ago. No side effects for him but my wife got her 2nd Pfizer and it did make her feel a bit rough for a couple of days but it wasn’t too bad. Hopefully you’ll be fine Brendan.

Thanks, maybe it's a female thing as my sister had her 2nd Pfizer earlier this month and was completely shattered for 2 or 3 days.
-
Had the jab 3 weeks ago.Felt like shite for 3 days afterwards.
-
That makes people dead 0-6 people still alive. Make your own conclusions.
-
Stab number 2 on Tuesday. I might not let you how I am.
-
2nd jab was on Friday morning, no side effects other than being a bit sleepy but that's not unheard of for me.
-
Had the first jab of Zeneca yesterday. Feeling a bit jaded today but not too bad. Bit of a worry that they said if you get a bit of a headache then take a paracetamol and you should be okay. But if you get a searing headache that paracetamol doesn't help then you're fucked. I might be paraphrasing but that seemed to me to be the gist.
-
Now double jabbed. No side effects whatsoever and still here. Now looking forward to the booster at least it gets me out of the house with somewhere to go. What a fucking year and a bit.
-
They had no Corona in ASDA today so took BBM's advice (I know) and tried a Desperado. Fucking shite.
-
Ooo I like a few desperados!
-
The ingredient list is eye opening. Some fermented shit, lots of chemicals and no tequila whatsoever. Never been near any citrus fruit IMO.
-

i bet you do sailor boy

Sorry chaps, I must have wandered into the geriatric nursing home.
As you were!
-
So you are the super spreader, anyone had it it yet?
-
Don't think I've had it but never had a test.
-
So you are the super spreader, anyone had it it yet?
Tested positive on the 28th Oct., finished isolation last night. Felt crap for about 4/5 days, then improved quite quickly, just left with a bit of a cough which the NHS say can linger for weeks. I was due to have the Pfizer booster jab the day i tested positive, put off now until 25th November as you're supposed to leave 28 days after a positive test before having the booster.
-
Hope you're better soon Brendan.
-
Hope you're better soon Brendan.
Cheers Gav, pretty much back to normal now, worst thing about it was missing the derby!
-
Three points at the sty, won so convincingly is wonderful experienced anywhere!
-
Do we have a full head count yet. I survived but the price of Corona didn't.
-
Only me left then.
