Title: City v CP Thread
Post by: 93:2012 on April 06, 2015, 19:03:13
Starting 11

Hart,

Sagna, Kompany (C), Demichelis, Clichy,

Navas, Fernandinho, Toure, Silva,

Dzeko, Aguero

Subs

Caballero, Zabaleta, Mangala, Milner, Fernando, Nasri, Lampard

C'mon City we need a good team performance.

Still not convinced by Sagna but it's a team well capable of winning.

WTF no Bony and no striker on the subs bench.

It is hard not to get pissed off with Pelles aimless rotation. No wonder players lose form and motivation.

Why is Yaya starting? He does not deserve to start, on recent performances.

Mangala, Zabaleta and Milner on the bench again, because they are 'important' players.

At least Nasri is getting a good kick up his arse for his shite non-descript non-trying performances.

Milner should be on

Post by: gavin on April 06, 2015, 19:30:24
I would assume there is something up with Bony if he is not on the bench, same with Jovetic. It would be very odd indeed if he went into the game without a backup striker on the bench by choice.

could have at least put pozo on the bench, has to be more use than fernando

We are carrying two players who put in zero effort in their last appearances Yaya and Edin.

should win this easy, but it's the big games we keep underperforming in.

No supporter of Yaya, but up to now putting a shift in. Cant see he will have the energy to maintain it.

Lets face it our defence is shocking and up front we always taken an extra touch or 3. We are not a good (effective) team too much posing and not enough urgency.

best get rid now and have new manager bounce for the derby.

Is it just me that feels I have seen this City performance time and time again this season. Plan A opossesion possession, concede, panic, lose

We are so one dimensional it is frightening.

Our disastrous summer of transfer dealings are finding us out.

No one to put any pressure on Yaya and no upgrade on Demichelis.
Title: Re: City v CP Thread
Post by: KunDB on April 06, 2015, 21:04:11
Forget summer transfers, not the issue. This is a team of immense talent underperforming. Pelle needs to explain that and his rotation policy which has failed spectacularly.

We can still win the title, still mathematically possible, 7 important games we must win them all and see what happens.

Answers on a post card stating who will say thay in their post match interview.

Not looking forward to Sunday although it would be typical City to go there and trounce them.
Title: Re: City v CP Thread
Post by: bluebrendan on April 06, 2015, 22:03:05
Why do we keep starting just two in centre midfield when one of them is Yaya who is ok going forward but a liability defensively? It's fucking stupid and puts too much pressure on the other CM - Fernandinho tonight.

Saying that with so much possession we should be scoring more than once, Sergio needs to get his mojo back in time for the Swamp.
Title: Re: City v CP Thread
Post by: Ludo on April 06, 2015, 22:09:45
It's madness to play 4-4-2 with Yaya in the middle and Silva wide.

All that possession but we didn't trouble the keeper enough. Palace had very few attacks but looked like scoring with every one of them. No cutting edge and a dodgy back four - it is a very costly combination.
Title: Re: City v CP Thread
Post by: goat on April 06, 2015, 22:29:59

Didn't see this game, and not sure I'll bother watching the recording after reading some of the write ups...

...but not sure I need to. 74% possession; 22 shots (only four of which are on target); 13 corners; one goal and two conceded - says it all.

Why indeed do we persist with a two man central midfield when one of them can only build up a head of steam going forward - and then only when it suits him? Can't see the point of playing Navas and two strikers when we do this. Too many huge holes in the middle and immediate extra pressure put on an already dodgy back four.

Well done Pelle, it's actually quite the achievement to fail so bad with this team. The team would do better without a manager, and to even try to avoid top 4 intentionally would be quite the challenge. Yet Pelle makes it look so easy, well done!

not the tactical wonder you were probably hoping for but

fuck knows

if people like us that really know nothing can see it wont work before kick off how can a guy that gets paid to know how this shit works need an hour of a game to spot all is not well

Dzeko's after a move according to some press reports. Is Pelle to blame for Dzeko's obvious decline?
