Title: BBC team of the year so far

What is noticeable is that there are no Manchester City players in the XI - despite Pep Guardiola's runaway leaders establishing a 10-point cushion at the top.

Ederson has 11 clean sheets - more than any other keeper - yet it is Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale, with nine clean sheets, who has a place in your team of the season so far.

Four Manchester City players - Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte and Rodri - have completed more passes than any other players yet none make the team.

For me you can't look past Cancelo, Bernardo and Rodri for any team of the season so far.

But really the important thing is that the team of the season so far is Manchester City. Let City lift the trophies and the rest of them can fill these things.

But like the MOTD goal of the month that Bernardo didn’t win, this team team of the year (so far) was voted for by fans. It’s not like City players were ignored by some “experts”. More fans of other teams voted for their own players than did a City fans. Are we really moaning about that? Moaners - did you even vote? This shit doesn’t matter. Fans are entitled to like their own players, even those who might not be as good as City players. Get over it.
