Ye ref giving them a free kick when it was a foul on Gunda, giving goal kicks for corners, and how the fuck hasn't he given out for that arse hole takin Phil out? Fuck off UEFA.

Good professional first half against a bunch of dirty fookers

Gundo should have buried that chance at half an hour. Chances like that at this level have to be taken. Decent half from City, the better side again.

Foden looked shaken, shadow of the normal player, hope he can play through it.

What a match that was. You could say that Atletico shouldn't be allowed to behave in that way and they shouldn't. But it was great to see City stand up to it and get through. Shame about the injuries. Hope KDB and Walker are fit soon.

You could see that it was destined to kick off as soon as the ref failed to set a marker with any bookings. Obviously it's frustrating that Athletico behave that way but if I was a player I'd be more concerned of getting very badly injured. The years and years that have gone by with the refs allowing players to crowd them and to speak to them like shit has created teams like athletico who knows that they can get away. The governing body themselves are spineless so it's hard to accept anything any different from any of their staff. City were shite second half and Athletico played well but fuck them and fuck UEFA.

Absolute scumbags.  Complete anti football and a nasty, ill disciplined team.  Savic should have been gone after dragging Foden.

The pure professionalism of the City players was unbelievable.  An absolute credit to the club and they deservedly got lots of praise from the pundits.  We rode our luck in the 2nd half but previous City teams would have crumbled.  I reckon that game could really benefit them in the long run

I'm a bit sick of going on about refs but he lost control of that when he didn't book Felipe for going through the back of Phil in the first half and he never regained it. An absolutely piss poor display from the ref and he is as much to blame for the antics at the end as Simeone and the Atletico players.

VAR was disgraceful too.

The ref didn't lose control he never established control.

Thank goodness it did not go to extra time.

That resilience of the City players under a storm of pressure was remarkable. Not only AM taking control of the game Second half but losing Kevin and Kyle to injuries and AM pulling every dirt truck and tactic in the book.

They deserve the highest praise for holding out.

Simeone is the antithesis of sport.

All i can say about Savic is his time with us should be deleted.

• One shot after 130 minutes
• 5-5-0 formation in the first game
• Dirty throughout both ties
• Targeted Grealish and Foden
• Diego Simeone constantly screaming to officials
• Atletico players surrounding the referee every decision

I think most football fans are glad to see the back of Atletico Madrid. They are something else!

Something should be done about them but it won't be. The matches against Real Madrid should be a different ball game. I just hope that KDB and Walker will be fit for them.

If City was doing the dirty stuff I think UEFA would be investigating what happened at the end and in the tunnel after. Savic should have been sent off for headbutting Sterling nevermind his after kick on Foden which started it all. For me it is nothing more than double standards by UEFA. Good riddance to AM.

Definitely a throwback. The Spanish media are singing the praises of AM, brave, big hearts, a credit. Ron Harris must be one of the coaches there, along with the butcher of Bilbao.
