According to one of the twot commentators on BBC sports he is the youngest ever player to score on his debut in the European Cup or whatever they call it theses days. Also he is from Bury which is apparently the region where most England payers have come from percentage wise.
Alvarez never gave up and got his rewards (as did others). My MOTM. His finish was fantastic, watching it I thought he took it too wide but he knew exactly what he was doing. Tremendous.
