No defence for Neville. However, I do tend to think that sport tends to get highlighted whilst strangely little attention is given to the sale of arms by the UK Government to countries like Saudi and Qatar.
I think the levels of hypocrisy shown by many critics of Qatar is mind boggling.
Personally I feel that it's a farce to have it there and the levels of corruption from FIFA are obvious, but the virtue signalling over worker conditions is an eye opener, especially as there are plenty of european companies that have contracts there (including some big name UK ones).
Well fifa recently released a statement asking everyone if they can concentrate on football rather than politics.
