Post by: Stephen Paul on January 19, 2024, 05:41:37
Bit unstable at the moment

Iran having a pop at Pakistan.
Israel having a pop at Palestine.
Yemen having a pop at anyone with a boat.
The Yanks itching to have a pop at Iran.

If you need to escape Saudi run over the border to the Sultanate of Oman. Great place.

If you manage to get to Muscat find out if the Ruwi Hotel is still open and stay there. They used to do a bucks fizz breakfast every Friday morning.

I think the original Ruwi has gone now but I'm sure stories still abound about it. Went for a pint there one Thursday afternoon and there was an incredible racket coming from outside, sounded like someone was using a bench saw. Turned out to be Giant Haystacks snoring his head off by the pool.

Things are becoming a little more testy. Plot your escape route to Oman carefully as they've had some bad weather.
