Every game is a must win at the moment it seems. It'll be depressing if we go into the international break 9 points behind.

How embarrassing can it get?

Good goal, comical goalkeeper and defence.

We best close our eyes when QPR get forward. Dom we have the worse defence in the PL at the moment?

I think QPRs is the worst. They concead 2 goal average per game

Not today Durk.

This is embarrasing totally.

Pellegrini what the fuck was this selection meant to achieve.

Can we atleast get to half time before ripping him to shreds? Or shall we give harry the 3 points now

Jesus. I didn't think it could get worse than Wednesday night.

Post by: Zabba on November 08, 2014, 17:55:45
I think you are an ostrich Durk, even if we win eventually this team selection and set up is all wrong.

We as Ludo said are worse than Wednesday and should be two down and are being belittled by an average team (at best).

We are disjointed and have conceded midfield with our set up and team selection.

Because we are lazy and we cannot pass properly. Players under pressure panic and pass anywhere. I think hey have lost confidence in Pelle, who knows.

I had a power blackout just before equaliser, but we are too regularly relying on individual brilliance in games (said it time and time again). I want to see a well oiled team performance week in week out, but that is not happening. Even within a game we control we lose control for significant spells. Worrying.

Our performances this year must worry even the most ardent Pellegrini fan. Mancini arguably got sacked unceremoniously for a lot less. Yes I know he did not help himself with his attitude.

to be fair, it should be nil nil, both goals were offside!

We've got no fight in the team, someone needs to step up in that engine room an become the heart of the hydra

Well we're lacking that player in the middle that nets things together and pulls everyone together to fight as one. we're just so disjointed at the moment.

well if you are watching him write yaya first have a word with him

i reckon he starts with the keeper and works his way up

Aguero magic.

We were better second half, average that is, but barely created real chances relying on Aguero.

A small positive Managala put in a better show today.

Doubt that I suspect Yaya hands team sheet to Pelle after he has written his own name on it.

It is a good job that the FA Cup doesn't start until January otherwise we could be out of everything by Xmas. We can;t say we actually deserve to win these games at the moment. There was poor performances throughout the team again. Only Sergio really impressed throughout the game. When the team produces such collective poor performances on such a regular basis the manager has to come under question. I have my doubts whether he should and will be in charge for that first FA Cup game this season. He has to produce an upturn in form and quickly.

I know moan, moan, moan, that's me but can anyone see this improving? I can't we seem to be going backwards on all fronts now - CL, PL, League Cup and now I fear for the FA Cup too.

Gavin is right Pelle has to give us a reason to believe and this reaction to a terrible midweek performance, and recent run of poor results in general was terrible.

Played average at best, but kept giving the ball away and did not help protect defence at critical times.

The three newbies have brought nothing to the party, they want all day on the ball and Sagna has no excuse!

This leads us to question whoever is responsible for the summer recruitment?

Another year when we have failed to build on a champiinship winning campaign!

Screw UEFA, spend as we want

Trouble is you cannot have one without without the other.

No CL means no star player transfers.

A pain yes but that is the way it is.

Only one quality performance out there, from Kun, otherwise we would have surely lost. Every team goes through a bad patch, we are doing that.
Looking at the league fixtures coming up, we could easily win every game up to the middle of January.
Cannot single out Yaya in the last few games, he has been no poorer than the rest. I wanted him to go in the summer and still believe he should go. I wont be that easy, I feel sure we will need to subsidise his move away. There are others like him who show little hunger, workrate or the idea they would run through a brick wall for the cause.

If there is little improvement with performances, expecting a new manager to pitch up around Xmas. I would guess the owners would wait to see how the dice fall in Europe.

Our decision making is awful, our passing looks like we're trying to kick a cannonball through treacle and Pellegrini's substitutions are bizarre.

But apart from that.....

Lee, more like players agents want CL, as exposure there gets their clients more commercial contracts and them more fees.

Andy, I cannot see Pelle sacked before season end (though Mancini is available at short notice lol).

Anyway I am not sure if it is Pelle who should go if these failings become persistent, maybe it should be the Barca boys who are held to account. Depends who is in charge of transfers (team decision-making on transfers sounds fine but decision by committee has no accountability ultimately just a fall guy{s}).

I suspect Pelle has no real say in transfers; Coach not Manager. Best I do not get started on that crap.

As well as that the difference for Pelle from his successful Malaga spell is that he has his hands tied behind his back on tactics here (Holistic 442 approach and all that jazz).

City kept the most clean sheets in the Prem in each of his three full seasons - whatever his faults he could organise a defence. No sign of Pellegrini managing that any time soon.

Yes - that's a bit of a puzzle that is.

Individual performances slumps aside, I still think the overall problem is one of a lack of effort. Players simply don't work hard enough for each other. We have taken 'conservation of effort' and 'pacing ourselves' to a new level - and it is not good.
